Are you a timed out student and wondering what the next step is for you?
In 2011 when the then Minister for Justice changed the immigration rules related to students, the INIS website stated that anyone here over 7 years was more than likely not a student and should apply for the appropriate leave to remain yet no such scheme was put in place (other than pre 2004 students). We have submitted applications for change of status for hundreds of our clients on the basis of their long term integration in the State. We are awaiting the Supreme Court judgment in the cases of Luximon/Balchand due on the 24th April, will directly impact timed out students.
